Cambodia National Soccer Team under 23 years old became champion of 2009 BIDC Cup after beating professional soccer team Hoang Ahn Gia Lai from Vietnam with the result of 3 – 2 in Olympic Stadium in Cambodia on Saturday night, 11th 14, 2009. As everyone knew there were 10,000’s of fans coming from all over the provinces and cities across the country to watch and gave a big support to Cambodian soccer player.

Cambodia soccer team used to match up with Hoang Ahn Gia Lai since the first qualified round and the result was 3 – 2, the same the championship game. This is why it makes a lot of Cambodian people proud of their own national team and give a big support.

Ministry of Youth and Education director Im Sithy and General Sao Sokha attending the champion game also said they were so grateful and proud because this was the first time in the history that Cambodia won the international championship BIDC Cup. General Sao Sokha also added that he would try to encourage and insist the Cambodian team to train themselves harder in order to win the victory again for Cambodia in the 25th Sea Games in Lao in December 2009.
